A. Bank Clerk Eligibility
The bank clerk eligibility criteria guide you on whether you are eligible for the job application or not. Following are the eligibility criteria for the Bank clerk job that you must know.
1. Age Limit for Bank Clerk: The age must be minimum of 20 Years and a maximum of 28 years old to apply for this post.
2.Age Relaxation: There are 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years of age relaxation for the OBC category. For Ex-Servicemen and Disabled Ex-Servicemen, the Actual period of service rendered in defence services + 3 years, (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) is subject to a max. age of 50 years.
3. Education Qualification Eligibility: - The candidate should have graduated from government recognized university. Only the valid mark sheet will be considered. They should be proficient in the official language of the State. Moreover, a candidate should be able to operate the computer and basic operation on it. Nationality/ Citizenship - Citizenship of India required or A subject of Nepal / Bhutan or the Tibetan Refugee who shifted to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India.
B. Educational Qualifications
Educational qualifications is another crucial aspect of the bank PO eligibility. Candidate must at least have a Bachelor’s degree from a Government recognised University to fulfil the bank PO eligibility.
C. Banking Clerk Syllabus
The Clerk syllabus consists of three subjects making up the objective type paper. The three main subjects which are a part of the Clerk prelims are as follows:
1. English Language
2. Reasoning Ability
3. Numerical Ability

English Language :
Reading Comprehension, Tenses, Rules, Cloze Test(Fill in the Blanks) Jumbled Paragraphs Idioms and Phrases Multiple Meaning, Error Spotting Correction Reading, Comprehension Preposition Rules.
Reasoning Ability :
Logical Reasoning, Alphanumeric Series, Ranking, Data Sufficiency Tests, Coded Inequalities, Direction Test, Seating Arrangements, Puzzles, Tabulation, Syllogism, Input/Output Coding and Decoding, Blood Relations.
Numerical Ability :
Profit, Loss and Discounts, Quadratic Equations, Approximation and Simplification, Mixtures and Alligations, Simple and Compound Interest, Surds and Indices, Work and Time, Speed, Time and Distance, Mensuration, Cone, Sphere, Cylinder, Data Interpretation, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Number Systems, Sequences and Series, Permutation, Combination and Probability.
D. Exam Pattern
The IBPS Clerk prelims exam pattern consists of one paper divided into three sections:
