Central University<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While other universities in the country are established by the State Governments, a central University in India is formed by the Government of India, by an Act Of Parliament<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ctetcoachingindelhi.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Au_science_faculty.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-233 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ctetcoachingindelhi.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/Au_science_faculty-210x300.jpg\" alt=\"Au_science_faculty\" width=\"151\" height=\"216\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: center;\">University of Allahabad?is the?Oldest<br \/>\namong all central Universities in India<\/h5>\n<p>i. The Government of India is responsible for arranging, allocating and distributing financial resources required by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for the establishment of Central Universities in India<br \/>\nii. Currently, there are <strong>46 universitie<\/strong>s in India by<strong> April 2015<br \/>\n<\/strong>iii. Delhi &amp; Uttar Pradesh has highest number of central universities with 5 each.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">B. State?University<\/span><br \/>\nThe State Governments establish and plan for the colleges and universities in the states.<br \/>\ni. Currently, there are <strong>332 state universitie<\/strong>s in India by <strong>April 2015<br \/>\n<\/strong>ii. <strong>Uttar Pradesh<\/strong> has highest number of state universities with <strong>25<\/strong>, followed by Gujarat with 24, Karnataka with 23, Tamil Nadu with 22, West Bengal &amp; Rajasthan with 21 each, and Andhra Pradesh &amp; <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Maharashtra with 20 state universities each.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">C. Deemed?University<\/span><\/p>\n<p>UGC is entrusted with another responsibility of giving ?Deemed? status to any educational institution by which:<br \/>\ni. UGC can grant fund to them;<br \/>\nii. UGC can make such institution enable to design their own syllabus and course work;<br \/>\niii. Such institutions also get the authority to set its own guidelines regarding admission and fees.<br \/>\niv. ?Currently, there are <strong>128?deemed universitie<\/strong>s in India by <strong>April 2015 <\/strong>with Tamil Nadu has maximum number of deemed university in country with 28, followed by Maharashtra with 21 and Karnataka with 14<\/p>\n<p>D. Private University<\/p>\n<p>In the past few years, the private universities have mushroomed with total <strong>216 Private Universities<\/strong> in country.
