Guru Nanak Dev Ji<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Sikhism belongs to a religious sect founded by <strong>Guru Nanak (1469 ? 1539)<\/strong>. His main teachings were the <strong>faith in one true Lord<\/strong>, t<strong>he worship of the Name<\/strong> and the <strong>necessity of a Guru in the worship of the name<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">2.?Guru Angad?Dev Ji<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>After his death,<strong> Guru Angad (1539 ? 52)<\/strong> became his successor. He invented the <strong>Gurumukhi script<\/strong> for the Punjabi Language.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sikh-history.com\/sikhhist\/images\/portraits\/guru_angad.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">3. Guru Amar Das?Ji<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Guru Amardas (1552 ? 74)<\/strong> was the next guru. ?He reformed the institution of hangar and gave more importance to it. He divided his spiritual empire into 22 parts called <strong>Manjis.<\/strong> Each Manjis was put under the charge of a Sikh.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jattdisite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/Guru-Amar-Das.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"368\" height=\"389\" \/><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><br \/>\n4. Guru Ram?Das?Ji<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>IV guru, <strong>Guru Ramdas (1575 ? 81)<\/strong> had very <strong>cordial relations<\/strong> with with <strong>Akbar.?<\/strong>He laid the foundation of <strong>Amritsar city<\/strong>. He dug a <strong>tank (sarovar)<\/strong> and it exists at Amritsar. In the midst of the tank, the <strong>Harmandir Sahib (Temple of God)<\/strong> was constructed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.harisingh.com\/Images\/hsgrdbest2.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">5. Guru Arjan Dev?Ji<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">V guru, <strong>Guru Arjun Dev (1581 ? 1606)<\/strong> compiled <strong>Adi Granth<\/strong>. He also completed the construction of Amritsar and founded other cities like <strong>Taran Taran<\/strong> and <strong>Kartarpur<\/strong>. He was executed by Jahangir for helping his rebellious son, <strong>Khusro<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sikh-history.com\/sikhhist\/images\/portraits\/guru_arjan.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">6. Guru Har Govind?Ji<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">VI guru, <strong>Guru Har Govind Rai?<\/strong>(1606 ? 44) defeated a Mughal Army at <strong>Sangrama<\/strong>. He transformed the Sikhs into?military community, established?<strong>Akal Takhtat<\/strong> the <strong>Golden Temple<\/strong> and held court there to conduct <strong>secular matters<\/strong>. He himself took up the tide of <strong>Sachcha Padshah<\/strong>. He also <strong>fortified Amritsar<\/strong>.<img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.realsikhism.com\/photos\/guru6_220.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"258\" height=\"323\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>7. Guru Har Rai<\/strong> <\/span>(1644 ? 61) and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Guru Har Krishan<\/strong> <\/span>(1661 ? 64) were the VII and VIII gurus respectively.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sikh-history.com\/sikhhist\/images\/portraits\/guru_harrai.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"214\" height=\"283\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #003300;\">?<strong>Guru Har Rai<\/strong><\/span> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.turbantrainingcentre.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/guru-harkrishan-sahib-ji.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"209\" height=\"289\" \/>? ? ?<span style=\"color: #003300;\"><strong>Guru Har Krishan<\/strong> <\/span>? ? ? ? ?<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">9. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">IX guru, <strong>Guru Tegh Bahadur<\/strong> (1664 ? 75) revolted against <strong>Aurangzeb<\/strong> but was executed by him. He was <strong>beheaded<\/strong> at Delhi?s <strong>Chandni Chowk<\/strong> in <strong>November 1675<\/strong>. Guru Gobind Singh Ji<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>X and last guru, <strong>Guru Gobind Singh (1675 ? 1708)<\/strong> (<strong>born in Patna<\/strong>) organised Sikhs as a community of warriors and called them as <strong>Khalsa<\/strong> (<strong>Baisakhi day, 1699<\/strong>). He summoned a big assembly of Sikhs at <strong>Anantpur<\/strong> and selected <strong>5 persons<\/strong> who came to be known as <strong>Panj Pyare<\/strong>. They took the <strong>water of immortality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/punjabidharti.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/11542\/395997_247374258715488_702578643_n.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"399\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">? ? ? ? ?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"cb-split\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What is <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Panj Pyare<\/span>?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"cb-split\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong>Panj Pyare<\/strong> are beloved by Sikhs because the tenth guru of the Sikhs Gobind Rai called to a crowd of thousands who had assembled on the day of <strong>Baisakhi<\/strong>, asking for volunteers <strong>who would give him their heads<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"cb-split\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.punjabiturban.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/Mata-Sahib-Kaur-Ji-pouring-Pataasay-into-Amrit-Panj-Pyare-Turban-COach.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"549\" height=\"419\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"cb-split\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Five men came forward:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Bhai Daya Singh<\/li>\n<li>Bhai Dharam Singh<\/li>\n<li>Bhai Himmat Singh<\/li>\n<li>Bhai Muhkam Singh<\/li>\n<li>Bhai Sahib Singh<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Dress Code of Sikhs<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Sikhs were given a distinct dress and they were required to keep on their person five things beginning with K, viz., Kesh, Kripan, Kachha, Kanga and Kara. He compiled a supplementary granth called ?Daswen Padshah ka ?Granth?.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Remember<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the death of Aurangzeb, <strong>Guru Gobind Singh<\/strong> had cordial relations with his son. <strong>Bahadur Shah I<\/strong>. He even agreed to accompany the new king to <strong>Deccan<\/strong>. But the Guru was stabbed to death by a <strong>Pathan<\/strong> in <strong>1708<\/strong>. At his death, he declared that henceforth, <strong>the Guru shall be in the Khalsa and the Khalsa in the Guru<\/strong>.
