Academic Qualification

One of the primary requirements is that:

•Candidates must have successfully cleared Class 10 from a recognized Board or Institution.

•Individuals who are awaiting their final exam results are not eligible to apply.

Apart from the educational qualification mentioned above, there are two other pathways to fulfil the RRB Group D eligibility. The first option is:

•To possess an ITI (Industrial Training Institute) degree

•Second option is to hold a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) issued by NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training).

RRB NTPC exam pattern – CBT 1

Aspirants who successfully submit the RRB NTPC application form are eligible to appear in the RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam. The RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is conducted in computer-based online mode. The questions in the RRB NTPC tier 1 will be based on subjects such as Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness. In the RRB NTPC CBT 1 there will be a penalty for wrong answers attempted by the candidate. No marks will be deducted if the question is left blank or unattempted.
The time duration for candidates is 90 Minutes.
The time duration for PWD candidates is 120 Minutes.

Candidates who qualify in CBT 1 will be eligible to appear in CBT 2. As per the exam pattern of RRB NTPC, CBT 2 will also be conducted in computer based online mode, however, the difficulty level will be slightly higher as compared to CBT 1. The number of questions asked in CBT 2 will be increased in CBT 2. From the following table, candidates can check the information of the RRB NTPC exam pattern for CBT 2. there will be negative marking of 1/3.
The time duration for candidates is 90 Minutes.
The time duration for PWD candidates is 120 Minutes.
